513 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Education and Science the number of applicants for the position of special needs assistant at St. Michael's Boys School, Cookhill, County Cavan; when interviews were held; and if all applicants were notified and called for interview. [23899/01]

The information requested by the Deputy is not available to my Department. Responsibility for the recruitment of special-needs assistants in individual schools rests with the authorities of the schools concerned.
