544 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Education and Science the position in relation to an application for a classroom assistant for a school (details supplied) in County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23946/01]

My Department's inspectorate has been requested to investigate the special support needs of the child in question. As soon as the inspectorate has reported, my Department will be in contact with the school authorities in relation to this matter.
