Question:

547 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Education and Science the number of school buses which operate in the County Limerick area; the number of those buses which are under five years old, between five and ten years old, between 20 and 25 years old; and if he has satisfied himself with the roadworthiness of the fleet. [24026/01]

The information sought by the Deputy has been requested from Bus Éireann. The Deputy will be informed of the position as soon as possible.

548 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will ensure that primary-school pupils do not have to cross a national primary road in a case (details supplied) in County Limerick; and if he will ensure that these pupils are collected at a more suitable location. [24035/01]

My Department has requested a report from the transport liaison officer in the matter. The Deputy will be advised of the position as soon as the report is received and assessed.
