Question:85 Mr Shatter asked the Minister for Defence if he proposes to introduce new legislation to implement proposals contained in the strategic review of the Irish Red Cross Society. [24664/01]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 39 and 85 together.
The strategic plan was adopted by the central council of the society on 22 February 2001 and a review team was established to implement the plan. I understand all matters relating to the structure and governance of the society will be addressed by this team and should any legislative changes be required I will bring forward appropriate legislation.
