Vol. 542 No. 4

Written Answers. - Departmental Properties.

Tom Hayes

Question:

124 Mr. T. Hayes asked the Minister for Finance the plans the Office of Public Works has in relation to a building owned by it which is located at Main Street, Cashel, and Hogan Square; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24651/01]

The building in question, while owned by the Office of Public Works, is currently being used as sub-depot by the national monuments and historic properties section of Dúchas. It is intended to vacate the present building and to relocate this sub-depot at a new site in the Cashel area in the near future.

The future use of the vacated building will be evaluated in the light of our various customer Departments' accommodation needs. If it transpires that there is no demand for the building from any of our customer Departments, consideration will be given to its disposal in accordance with normal practice.
