Vol. 542 No. 4

Written Answers. - Health Funding.

Beverley Flynn

Question:

132 Ms Cooper-Flynn asked the Minister for Health and Children the amount of money which has been allocated and spent to date by his Department in each of the BMW counties under the national development plan. [24629/01]

National development plan funding for the health services is provided by my Department to each of the health boards and takes account of the funding requirement reflected in the overall NDP that a positive weighting be given to the BMW region. The allocation and expenditure of NDP funding to individual counties in this region is a matter for the relevant health boards and my Department does not routinely collate funding or expenditure details by county. I have therefore referred the Deputy's query to the chief executive officers of the health boards within the BMW region and have asked them to provide the details requested, directly to the Deputy.
