Vol. 542 No. 4

Written Answers. - Orthodontic Service.

John McGuinness

Question:

135 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 359 of 20 March 2001 and the Midland Health Board's reply of 17 May 2001, he has satisfied himself with the reply issued by the Midland Health Board regarding the case; and if the board will agree a date for treatment. [24647/01]

The provision of orthodontic services to the person referred to by the Deputy in Parliamentary Question No. 359 of 20 March 2001 is the statutory responsibility of the Midland Health Board. I have again asked the chief executive officer of that board to respond directly to the Deputy, as a matter of urgency, regarding an appointment for orthodontic treatment in this case.
