227 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Cavan will receive a headage payment and other livestock related payments; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25213/01]

Payment due to the person named under the 2001 area based compensatory allowance scheme will issue before the end of October 2001. Payment due to the person named under the 2001 slaughter premium scheme, in respect of five animals slaughtered in the January-June 2001 period, to the amount of £166.96 will issue before the end of October 2001.

In relation to special beef premium 2001, payment in respect of the first application made by the person named on the 2 April, 2001 to the amount of £414.12 will issue by the end of October 2001. Payment on the second application made by the person named on 24 August 2001 has not yet been authorised. Both the slaughter premium and special beef premium payments represent an 80% advance payment on the total amounts due.

His 80% entitlement under the 2001 suckler cow premium scheme, amounting to £7,273.57, will issue to him by the end of October, 2001.

Payment due to the person named under the 2001 area based compensatory allowance scheme will issue before the end of October.

229 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will make an area based payment to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim. [25224/01]

The person named was paid a total of £2,700.08 under the area based compensatory allowance scheme in respect of 60.00 hectares of mountain type land at £45 per hectare. This compares with her average headage payment of £1,003.94 over the years 1998, 1999 and 2000.

231 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when an area based payment will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25235/01]

The person named was paid £1,059.10 on 18 October 2001 in respect of 15.13 hectares of more severely handicapped lowland at £70 per hectare, together with an additional sum of £466.21 under a compensation package agreed with the European Commission for farmers experiencing losses under the 2001 area-based compensatory allowance scheme. The additional sum is equal to 90% of the difference between the average sum of the headage payments in this case under the 1998, 1999 and 2000 headage schemes and the amount paid under the 2001 area based compensatory allowance scheme.

232 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will make an area based payment to a person (details supplied) in County Sligo. [25251/01]

The person named was paid £2,700.08 on 18 October 2001 in respect of 60.00 hectares of mountain type land at £45 per hectare. This compares with his average headage payment of £930.00 over the years 1998, 1999 and 2000.
