Question:261 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a REP scheme payment has not been received by a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [25334/01]

The applicant was advised in writing in August that there was a discrepancy between the areas he had declared for REPS and area aid, and he was asked to provide an explanation. He was further informed that he had to submit a form REPS 1A as he had rented land. The explanation and the form REPS 1A were received on 1 September 2001, the application has now been processed and payment will issue within 14 days.
