Vol. 542 No. 5

Written Answers. - Occupational Therapy Services.

John McGuinness

Question:

338 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will sanction the provision of a stair lift for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; the reason a report from the health board occupational therapist suggested otherwise but offered no other immediate solution; and the reason for the delay in such an urgent case. [25242/01]

As the provision of occupational therapy services for eligible persons in County Kilkenny is the statutory responsibility of the South Eastern Health Board, I have asked the chief executive officer of that board to investigate the position in relation to these three cases and to reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
