338 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will sanction the provision of a stair lift for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; the reason a report from the health board occupational therapist suggested otherwise but offered no other immediate solution; and the reason for the delay in such an urgent case. As the provision of occupational therapy services for eligible persons in County Kilkenny is the statutory responsibility of the South Eastern Health Board, I have asked the chief executive officer of that board to investigate the position in relation to these three cases and to reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
