Vol. 542 No. 5

Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

Denis Naughten

Question:

359 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will approve funding for the Arigna regional water supply scheme, County Roscommon; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25014/01]

This scheme is included in my Department's Water Services Investment Programme 2000-2002, to advance through planning. A brief submitted by Roscommon County Council earlier this month for the appointment of consultants to review and update the preliminary report for the scheme is under examination in the Department.

John V. Farrelly

Question:

360 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will consider increasing the grant available to local group sewerage schemes from £1,600 to £5,100 similar to that for group water supply schemes; the numbers of applications in each local auth ority area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25015/01]

I refer to the reply to Questions Nos. 698, 715, 716 and 733 of 3 October 2001.

As administration of the group sewerage grants is a matter for the local authorities, details of individual applications are not available in my Department.
