Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.
Longford sewerage scheme stage 2 is included in my Department's water services investment programme, 2000-02, as a scheme to commence construction this year.
Longford County Council submitted a preliminary report for the scheme to my Department earlier this year. Following examination of the preliminary report, the council was requested by the Department to undertake a review of the capacity of the town's sewage treatment plant to cater for projected future growth. The review report is awaited from the council.
