491 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Education and Science the situation regarding staffing at a school (details supplied) in County Wicklow; if he will permit a retired teacher to hold an assistant teacher position; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25339/01]

The board of management of the school referred to by the Deputy is in consultation with officials of my Department with a view to finding a resolution of the staffing difficulties being experienced in the school.
