Vol. 542 No. 6

Written Answers. - School Accommodation.

Seymour Crawford

Question:

267 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Education and Science the situation regarding the extension to the Central School, Castleblaney, County Monaghan; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25411/01]

My Department has received an application for grant aid towards the cost of a building project at the Central School, Castleblaney. The Deputy will appreciate that there has been a massive and unprecedented increase in the funds allocated by this Government to the schools building programme at all levels.

Decisions relating to the rate of progress to construction of projects, including the Central School, Castleblaney, will be taken in the light of the allocations to be made for school building purposes in the forthcoming estimates.
