Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Jim Mitchell

Question:

130 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 7; if his attention has further been drawn to the length of the waiting lists for bladder surgery in the Mater Hospital; the steps he is taking to reduce those waiting lists and waiting time; and if surgery can be arranged for the person concerned. [27168/01]

Responsibility for the provision of health services to persons living in County Dublin rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the mat ter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
