190 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 30 of 5 May 1999, he will report on the outcome of the various inquiries which he undertook to carry out in his reply; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27240/01]
The Deputy will be aware that on 5 May, 1999 I initiated inquiries in relation to the listing of a court case which was heard in Castlerea District Court on 15 January, 1999. I am informed that the case which was the subject of my enquiries is currently the subject of judicial review proceedings. In the circumstances, it would be inappropriate for me to comment on the matter at this juncture. It remains my intention to report back to the House on this matter as soon as I am in a position to do so.
