24 Mr. McDowell asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands if she has brought a draft of the promised national heritage plan to Government; if she intends to publish the plan before the end of 2001; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [27148/01]

My Department is currently finalising the national heritage plan. I intend to bring the plan to Government before the end of this month. Depending on Government approval I hope the process of publication will be under way by the end of the year.
