215 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the total funding provided for tourism marketing abroad in 1998, 1999 and 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28115/01]

The outturn of expenditure by my Department for general tourism marketing purposes is set out in the Estimates volumes for the years in question. The position may be summarised as follows:

It should be noted that the Bord Fáilte grant-in-aid figure, which covers its total administrative costs, includes costs incurred in tourism marketing activities abroad.
