186 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the total expenditure for his Department for television advertising to date in 2001; and the percentage of expenditure allocated to Irish established broadcasters regulated here compared to that allocated to non-Irish established broadcasters. [28178/01]

A total of £145,453, of which £39,204 represents production costs and £106,249 represents media costs, has been spent by my Department on television advertising to date in 2001. The advertising involved has been undertaken in its entirety by Irish established broadcasters.
