192 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he has received representations from RGDATA concerning the introduction of the levy on plastic shopping bags; the way in which he intends to respond to the issues raised (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has received a number of submissions in relation to the draft regulations on plastic shopping bags, including a submission from RGDATA. I am aware of the concerns which are being identified, and will consider the range of matters raised in the submissions before making the final regulations in the near future.
