194 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the amount of salmon, both by number and weight, caught by nets and rod, in the 2001 season; and the comparison with the 2000 season in this regard. [28976/01]

The data in question are currently being compiled for my Department by the Central Fisheries Board from statistics generated by the regional fisheries boards. The figures including comparative date for 2000 will be made available as soon as possible.
