321 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in Dublin 8 is waiting 20 months after a knee replacement operation to have a handrail for the stairs and the bath installed and a special chair provided to allow her to stay in her own home; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The provision of health services in the Inchicore area is, in the first instance, the responsibility of the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the authority to investigate the case in question and to reply direct to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
