Vol. 544 No. 3

Written Answers. - Departmental Correspondence.

Róisín Shortall

Question:

333 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the Eastern Regional Health Authority have still to reply to Parliamentary Question No. 228 of 22 May, 2001; the reasons for this; if he will ensure that a reply is issued as soon as possible; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28917/01]

I understand from the Eastern Regional Health Authority that the authority endeavours to answer all parliamentary questions within the shortest timeframe possible. The authority states that due to the non-routine and complex nature of some requests and staffing levels it is not always possible to reply within the allocated deadlines. The authority has advised that a reply will issue shortly to the Deputy in this case.
