160 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the State and semi-State bodies under his aegis; the chief executive officers and chairmen of each body; and the date of their appointment. [29288/01]

The Agency for Personnel Overseas – APSO – is the only State body under the aegis of the Minister for Foreign Affairs. APSO was established in 1974 to promote and sponsor temporary personal service in developing countries. The chief executive officer, Mr. Paul Beggan, was appointed on 1 August 1991. The chairman, Mr. Aidan Eames, was appointed on 1 August 1999.
