Question:77 Mr. D. Carey asked the Minister for Defence if he has received an application from Meelick GAA Club for additional land at Knocklishern, Meelick, County Clare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30123/01]
Written Answers. - Defence Forces Property.
It has been agreed to sell the water system and the sewage wayleave at Knockalisheen to Clare County Council. On the completion of this sale it has also been agreed to transfer the bulk of the lands to Dúchas. Meelick GAA Club has contacted my Department requesting additional lands at Knockalisheen. The club has been apprised of the situation regarding the transfer of the lands to Dúchas and has been advised to contact that organisation on the completion of the transfer. My Department has also written to Dúchas informing it of the request by the club.
