Question:

266 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Health and Children the provision he has made in the Estimates for 2002 to enable the Southern Health Board to proceed with the community based hospital in Tralee, County Kerry. [30786/01]

Under the National Development Plan, 2001-06, indicative funding of £35.487 million, 45,059,195, has been notified to the Southern Health Board. It is a matter for the board to prioritise its projects under this plan. The board has advised that the development of a community nursing unit in Tralee is one of the priority projects. The project team appointed by the board is completing an accommodation brief for this development.
