Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Emmet Stagg

Question:

273 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the cancellation of an operation for a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; the urgent nature of this operation; when the operation will be rescheduled; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30985/01]

Responsibility for the provision of hospital services to residents of Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
