Vol. 545 No. 5

Written Answers. - Departmental Funding.

Ivor Callely

Question:

125 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Health and Children the level of funding available to service providers who provide services to people with a disability; the increased funding available in recent years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31062/01]

Information in relation to the overall level of funding available for the service providers in the various boards and the Eastern Regional Health Authority is not readily available in my Department. I have requested the health boards to provide my Department with this information and will communicate with the Deputy on receipt of same.

The increased funding that has been made available between 2000 and 2001 for the development of disability services by this Government is £136.99 million, 173.94 million, revenue and £93.35 million, 118.53 million, capital.
