Ivor Callely

Question:

114 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands if she has satisfied herself that the artefact material from various medieval excavations in Dublin are being accommodated for display to the public; if additional display sites are required; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [31744/01]

Artefact material from various medieval excavations in Dublin is on display at the National Museum of Ireland's Kildare Street premises, both in the Viking and Medieval exhibitions, and in the Viking Adventure Centre, Essex Street, Dublin 2, and Dublinia, Old Synod Hall, Christchurch, Dublin 2. Further artefacts are currently on loan to the Roskilde Ship Museum, Denmark, and various other museum sites, including some in Northern Ireland. There is a consistent demand for the loan of such artefacts to various national and international exhibitions.
