Trevor Sargent

Question:

84 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Public Enterprise her views on the interim report dealing with aspects of aviation policy from the ad-hoc interdepartmental group on visitor issues; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [29864/01]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 83 and 84 together.

In my reply to composite Dáil Questions Nos. 52, 74 and 78 which I answered on 27 November 2001, I set out the suggestions which were contained in the interim report of the interdepartmental group which was established recently under the aegis of the Taoiseach's Department. The interim report was forwarded to Aer Rianta and the company's response has been forwarded to the group who are giving the matter further consideration. The interdepartmental group recently engaged an expert in the aviation sector to assist in its ongoing deliberations.
