Vol. 547 No. 1

Written Answers. - Compensation Claims.

Liam Aylward

Question:

240 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Defence, further to Parliamentary Question No. 110 of 3 June 1998, the reason no progress has since been made on this case in view of the fact that an assessment was carried out two years ago. [1713/02]

The progress of a personal injury claim is a matter between the plaintiff and his legal representatives. There has been no undue delay in my Department in processing this claim. A medical report on the plaintiff's hearing has recently been received and an offer made under the early settlement scheme.
