Question:

395 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Finance the details of the indemnity given to the Garda Síochána by a company (details supplied) arising from the placing of antennae and masts on the roofs of Garda Stations. [1184/02]

Under the terms of the agreement which allowed the installation of communications equipment on certain Garda premises, the company in question indemnifies all other parties to the agreement against all actions, proceedings, claims etc., or liability whatsoever, arising directly or indirectly from the agreement or any breach thereof. The limit of the indemnity is not less than 6,348,690, £5 million, per occurrence arising from any one event.
