564 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to a threatened industrial action by carers who work in residential homes; if he will intervene with the health boards in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1828/02]

I understand that the Labour Court is examining this issue and has undertaken to issue an adjudication very shortly, following hearings held on 23 and 28 January last.
