Vol. 547 No. 1

Written Answers. - Local Government Funding.

Emmet Stagg

Question:

753 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the one-off allocations for each local authority included in the increased allocations of the local government fund for 2002; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1690/02]

The Local Government Fund general purpose allocations for 2002 included in some cases a once-off element as a contribution towards the operational costs of new water service schemes where such costs are not yet reflected in the needs and resources model, the model uses historic costs.
