1269 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science if further progress has been made regarding incremental credits which have not been made in respect of teachers who have worked for a number of years in private second level schools, and who are employed by his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Discussions are ongoing at the Teachers' Conciliation Council in relation to the matter of awarding incremental credit to teachers in respect of teaching service in schools which are not recognised by my Department. It would be inappropriate for me to comment further on the matter until these discussions are complete.
