Question:87 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Finance his proposals to amend the Disabled Drivers and Disabled Passengers (Tax Concessions) Regulations, 1994; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2965/02]
Written Answers. - Disabled Drivers.
The disabled drivers' and disabled passengers' tax concessions scheme is under review by an interdepartmental group chaired by an official from the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform. I have not yet received the final report and recommendations of the review group. However, I understand its work is at an advanced stage. Any proposals – whether to widen the scope of the scheme or otherwise – which may emanate from the review group will receive full consideration. Until such time, no amendments to the scheme will be considered.
