Written Answers. - Fishing Vessel Licences.
I have, in the past 12 months, approved 15 vessels for licensing under the terms of the 1995 special scheme introduced to regularise the position of vessels not previously licensed and registered. I have also approved three vessels under a recent scheme for replacement capacity in respect of fishing vessels lost at sea. The total capacity involved is 287.62 gross registered tonnes and 1,522.02 kilowatts. I am arranging to have a list of the vessels concerned, and their individual capacities, forwarded to the Deputy.
