Question:421 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Health and Children the position regarding the provision of extra dialysis beds in Cavan Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9033/02]

Responsibility for the provision of hospital services at Cavan General Hospital is a matter for the North Eastern Health Board and any proposal to provide extra dialysis beds at the hospital is a matter for the board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in this matter and to reply to the Deputy directly.
