Question:126 Mr. P. Carey asked the Minister for Health and Children if there is a nursing home bed available for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 9 who has been diagnosed as having Alzheimer's disease. [10662/02]

Responsibility for the provision of nursing home beds in the Dublin area rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply direct to him.
