Vol. 552 No. 1

Written Answers. - Rescue Services.

Seamus Healy

Question:

116 Mr. Healy asked the Minister for Defence if he will provide the South-Eastern Mountain Rescue Association a surplus to requirements vehicle (details supplied). [11077/02]

I have made inquiries into the matter and I am pleased to inform the Deputy that the vehicle in question, which is currently located at the vehicles base workshop in the Curragh Camp, can be made available to the South-Eastern Mountain Rescue Association. Officials from my Department will be in contact with the South-Eastern Mountain Rescue Association in due course to make the necessary arrangements for the donation of the vehicle. I would also like to mention that my Department have already donated a vehicle to this association in 1999 to assist them in their work.
