I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Naughten – the need to provide finance for the ongoing maintenance of the River Shannon; (2) Deputy Ring – the position on the provision of a rheumatology service at Mayo General Hospital; (3) Deputy Healy – the urgent need for the decentralisation of Government jobs to south Tipperary as promised on numerous occasions over recent years; (4) Deputy Wall – to ask the Minister for Education and Science what plans he has put in place to rectify the major problems facing staff and students at Brannockstown national school, County Kildare, given that the current situation is untenable according to his Department's regulations; (5) Deputy Ó Caoláin – the need to oppose the shipping by way of the Irish Sea of a cargo of reprocessed MOX fuel in two ships from Japan; and (6) Deputy Michael D. Higgins – the need to respond to the waiting crisis that affects services for people with disability in County Galway.

The matters raised by Deputies Naughten, Ring, Michael D. Higgins and Ó Caoláin have been selected for discussion.
