I wish to inform the Deputy that my Department has approved two hours special needs assistant care per day to cater for the needs of the person to whom the Deputy refers. Any application received by my Department from the school authorities for additional special needs assistant support for the pupil concerned will be considered by my Department.

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that my Department has approved the appointment of a special needs assistant to cater for the care needs of the person to whom the Deputy refers from the date the pupil commences in the school in September 2002.
