Vol. 553 No. 2

Written Answers. - School Staffing.

Noel Ahern

Question:

337 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Education and Science the make-up and strength of the teaching staff in a school (details supplied) in Dublin 11; the reason the school is threatened with losing a teacher from the next school year starting in September 2002; and if he will direct that this teacher not be the last in view of the requirements of children with special needs in the school. [13232/02]

I wish to confirm that the staffing at Mother Divine Grace national school for the 2002-03 school year will remain unchanged from the 2001-02 school year. It will consist of principal, ten mainstream class teachers, two learning support teachers, a special class teacher, a resource teacher, a home school liaison teacher and a teacher under the Early Start programme.
