435 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if a person (details supplied) in County Sligo receives full afforestation grant payment for the land taken over by a company (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13541/02]
I confirm that the correct amount of forestry premium has been paid to the person in question. My Department has recently written to the person in question advising him of the correct procedure in relation to claims for compensation from the company referred to in respect of an area of unplanted land.
436 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources when a decision will be made on an application for a farm electrification grant for disadvantaged areas by a person (details supplied) in County Sligo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13551/02]
My Department has not yet received an application for grant aid under the farm electrification grant scheme from the person concerned. As soon as the application is received, my Department will process it without delay.

An application for afforestation grant aid, which was received by my Department on 23 April is currently being processed. A site inspection is necessary. I have asked that a decision in the case be given as quickly as possible.
