Question:

559 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason home help hours for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo were reduced; and if the home help hours can be restored immediately. [13780/02]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 456 and 559 together.

The provision of health services in the Mayo area is, in the first instance, the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised and reply direct to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
