493 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the outcome of the assessment committee meeting held on 23 May 2002 for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo regarding their need for long-term care in Belmullet Hospital. [13208/02]
The provision of health services in the Mayo area is, in the first instance, the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised and to reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
