179 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if a payment of area aid for 2001 and 2002 can be released to a person (details supplied) in County Sligo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13487/02]
No area aid application was received from the person named for 2001. Therefore, no area-linked payments can be made in this case. The 2002 area aid applications are currently being processed and until this process is completed I am not in a position to give details in relation to any individual case.
The person named has been paid his full entitlement under the 2001 suckler cow premium scheme. An advance payment for two animals was made on 24 October 2001 with a balance payment on 31 January 2002. The euro compensation instalment for two animals issued on 8 May 2002.
