188 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim can immediately receive an area based compensation and ewe premium; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13543/02]

The 2001 area aid application of the person named was fully processed with an area determined for payment purposes of 40.05 hectares under the 2001 area-based compensatory allowance scheme. He has now been paid his full entitlement under this scheme.

Payment of the ewe premium has already been made. However the rural world element of the premium was delayed pending processing of his area aid application. As the application has now been fully processed payment of the rural world premium will be made shortly.
