Question:161 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when an appeal will be finalised for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [14576/02]

The person named applied for premium for seven cows under the 2001 suckler cow premium scheme. He was informed on 8 February 2002 that no payment could be made under this scheme as two animals on the application declared as cows were not registered as having calved at any time and one animal was slaughtered within the retention period and was not replaced as required under the terms and conditions of the scheme. The person named requested a review of this decision on 8 March 2002. In correspondence dated 9 April 2002 the person named has been asked for further information regarding the calving dates for the two animals. As no reply or new information has been received the original decision must stand.
