264 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children when a domiciliary care allowance will be transferred to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare on foot of the recent bereave ment of his partner; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14597/02]

The assessment of entitlement to and payment of the domiciliary care allowance is a matter for the relevant health board. My Department has asked the regional chief executive officer, Eastern Regional Health Authority, to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
